Once again, I’ve finished up a bunch of products, including some makeup which is a bit unusual, so get ready for a run down of my thoughts and a mini review of each product. Let’s jump in to my second empty products review!

Empty products review: Indigo – Nest Fragrances
First up in this empty products review post is a perfume, which is pretty rare for me. Perfume tends to last ages! I picked up Indigo by Nest a few years ago and I adore it. It is one of my signatures scents and reminds me of a big bowl of freshly picked raspberries. It’s slightly sweet but there are definitely green notes in it as well.
From the Sephora website:
Moroccan tea, Kashmir wood, and black cardamom are enhanced with hints of wild fig and bergamot. These notes combine to create a captivating fragrance that transitions well from day to evening.
Would I buy it again? Most definitely, in fact I already have a fresh bottle! Actually, therein lies a funny story. Mr. P&P was in Toronto last year and popped into Sephora to pick up a little treat for yours truly. He sniffed several perfumes until he stumbled upon this one. He loved it and picked up a bottle. When he gave it to me I started laughing, because of the hundreds of perfumes that Sephora carries he’d managed to pick one of my favourites that I’ve been wearing for years! That’s a man who pays attention! Read more
I’ve made no secret of the fact that I think Revlon knocks it out of the park in the lip product department. For a totes reasonable price you can grab yourself a lippie as good as, if not better than, anything you’d get at M.A.C. for twice as much. I was at London Drugs the other day (I have a tendency to casually wander over there and look at the make-up on my lunch break) and the Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains were on sale for only $4.99! Mere pennies! Pennies my darlings!
Do you guys ever find yourselves stuck in a make-up rut? I sure do. Every day for about a month now I’ve had the same face: BB cream, Revlon Stay Matte Powder, a MAC paint pot on my eyes, a MAC blush on my cheeks (which I should review because I luuuuuurve it), and my trusty Revlon lip butter. Pink, pretty, and complete in about two minutes. If it ain’t broke I suppose…
Happy Monday my lovelies! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
I love nail polish but I rarely paint my nails. It just seems like a lot of effort, and I’m kind of anal so the second it chips I have to take it off. That said, as I mentioned in my last post, I had a bunch of girlfriends over on Friday night and we had a nail painting party! We had a great time. Everyone painted their nails, and we all got a little light headed from the fumes! I picked up bottle of Revlon’s Brilliant Strength Nail Enamel in Enrapture just in time for the party. It’s a really pretty plum colour with a bit of gold shimmer. I thought it looked nice and festive; ’tis the season afterall! The brush was nice and wide, which I like, and the polish went on smooth. I applied two coats and topped it off with my Revlon topcoat. I love the way it looks; it’s a beautiful colour for winter. I slapped a bit of sparkly O.P.I. on the ring finger of each hand and voila, there you have it!
The polish is starting to wear off a little on the tips of my nails but, apart from that, it’s holding up nicely so far! The price point is around $6 so I’m pretty happy! If you’re looking for an inexpensive way to incorporate a little festivity into your look this polish is a nice way to do it!
Yesterday I attended The Style Common’s Deck Your Closet event at the Four Seasons Hotel. It was a lovely event and my room-mate and I scored some great deals (the best of which was a Michael Kors purse for $50!). As we were leaving to hotel we spotted Jody Claman of The Real Housewives of Vancouver! We asked her for a photo and she was happy to oblige. She was lovely! It was a fun way to end a lovely morning!
