The piece I wanted but didn’t buy

For about a year and a half I’ve been wanting to add a knit tank top (sweater vest? sleeveless sweater?) to my wardrobe. I’d taken note of a few I like, most of them from Aritzia. Something like this was what I had in mind. I never pulled the trigger for a few different reasons. I like Artizia’s clothes but I think they are ridiculously over priced, sometimes I have trouble with the sizing (big boob problems, le sigh), and most recently, they are not ethical.

Coats and Jackets

Coats and jackets have long been a favourite wardrobe item of mine. My collection is rather large and includes winter coats, faux fur, a Yukon parka, jean jackets, trenches, suede, and my leather jacket, which is one of my most prized possessions. If you challenged me to pick a favourite style I think I would have to go with moto jackets for a few different reasons. They are versatile, a bit edgy, and suit my body type – I have long legs and a short torso. Moto jackets hit at just the right spot near my waist.

Shoppers gone wild

I am now happily ensconced in my new city (hello Vancouver), and have been exploring non stop.

Yesterday I attended my first warehouse sale. What an experience! Great clothes at 70% off retail. What’s a shopaholic to do? I waited in line for about half an hour before getting in. I checked my purse, and PURE MADNESS. Girls running from rack to rack grabbing whatever they could carry in their size. I attempted to be practical, and go from rack to rack looking at everything. I quickly got caught up in the frenzy though, and abandoned my sensible plan.
I emerged after about an hour, sweaty, dishevelled, and the owner of a few new great pieces.
