Sephora picks: Make-up

Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Liquid Foundation

If you like high coverage makeup that doesn’t feel heavy this foundation is a great choice. I pull this out on days when my skin is looking particularly tired. It covers any redness or irritation and it lasts all day. If you have dry skin this might not be the base for you but for my fellow oily skinned pals it’s a game changer.

Tarte, Lights, Camera, Lashes 4 in 1 Mascara

This mascara delivers length, volume, holds a curl, and lasts all day without smudging or flaking. I love it and have repurchased a few times. If you’re looking for a great all around mascara, you can’t go wrong with this one.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush

These blushes are my favourite powder formula. The coloured powder is swirled with a highlighter shade for an incredible glow. The colour payoff is great with these blushes so a little bit goes a long way.

Lilah B. Divine Duo Lip & Cheek

I love this gorgeous compact and the product inside does not disappoint. The duo can be used on the cheeks and lips. It’s the perfect cream blush for a natural looking healthy flush.

Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer

The shades suit every skin tone, they are shimmery without being chunky, and they are perfect for tossing in your handbag.

Tarte Quench Lip Rescue Balm

If you suffer from dry lips this balm is a dream come true. It’s moisterizing and adds the perfect touch of colour. I have the shade Nude and I wear it several times per week.

Sephora picks: Skincare

First Aid Beauty Hello Fab Coconut Water Cream

This is another pick for those of us with oily skin. The super light, gel textured cream sinks in quickly while delivering a solid hit of hydration. It’s lightly scented of coconut and helps to keep oil at bay all day. I think this is an especially nice day cream for the warmer months.

Glow Recipe Watermelon + AHA Glow Sleeping Mask

I love a good overnight mask. Slap it on before bed and you’re done! No muss, no fuss. I’ve gone through countless minis of this stuff and it’s just a matter of time before I hit add to cart on the full size.

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5

I have gone on and on and on about this stuff. I love it. It provides such a deep hit of moisture and it’s amazingly well priced. I always have a bottle on the go. I really rate The Ordinary and have loved every product I’ve tried.

The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA

This lactic acid serum is a good one for targeting fine lines and smoothing skin texture. My skin always looks great while I’m using it.

Sunday Riley Good Genes

If you’re looking to splurge this serum is a great choice. It can be using morning and night. It contains lactic acid which is great for dullness, uneven texture, fine lines, and dark spots. The Ordinary Lactic Acid is a great dupe but I really love Good Genes.

Volition Beauty Tumeric Brightening Polish

This is hands down my favourite physical exfoliatant. I used it a few times a week to target any dry patches. My skin is consistently glowing and smooth after using it.

So there are my Sephora picks. I’d love to know what, if anything, you’ve ordered.

    1. Oh gosh. That is a tough choice!!! If I had to pick just one I think I’d go with the Hourglass blushes. I’ve gone through three of them and loved them all. They really are beautiful.

  1. I feel like I’m so behind the crowd in trying Ordinary products, the price point is really nice too. I see Drunk Elephant in Sephora and I’ve been tempted to try their products, think I’ll start with the sleeping mask. I have the Fenty lip gloss and it’s perfect for that summery shimmer! I’m gonna wear some tomorrow when I go grocery shopping. I like this style of post, thanks for sharing Sarah!

    1. Thanks Natonya! You simply must try The Ordinary. It’s so, so good. I haven’t tried a lot from Drunk Elephant, it’s pricey stuff, though I’d like to. The sleeping mask is an excellent choice! Thanks, as always, for reading!

  2. I have a love/hate relationship with the Sephora VIB Sale. I take advantage to stock up on large sizes of my everyday products, and appreciate the rare opportunity for a discount. But I received my order today and it’s so anticlimactic to get a package and have spent all that money, just to have exactly the same stuff I already have in my cabinet.

RE: Drunk Elephant, I highly recommend the Framboos Glycol Night Serum. I use it nightly (ordered the 50 ml size for a slight volume discount). It’s been part of my routine for the past couple of years, and I noticed a difference within the first week. My skin is so much smoother and the tone is more even since I started using the serum. Two thumbs way up!!

    1. I know what you mean. I sometimes take advantage of the sale to treat myself to something new that would normally be out of my price range but it’s definitely a good time to stock up on your must have as well.

Ok. I know I have to get on the Drunk Elephant bandwagon. I’m hoping to add that serum to my list. I wish I could try the Baby Facial. It’s not available in Canada but I’ve heard it’s amazing. Have you tried it?

  3. The Sephora VIB Sale is a dangerous time! That hourglass foundations sounds amazing, and I just tried some of the Sunday Riley line myself and have been loving it!

  4. So many amazing choices! I haven’t tried most of these and am on a strict no-buying ban because I’m moving soon, but all these products look like ones I’d enjoy myself! The first thing I will probably be buying whenever I stop my ban will be a Fenty gloss.

  5. I still need to try Fenty products. They all look so good, and I’ve heard so many good reviews about them!
