I’ve finished up quite a few products lately and I thought I’d give you a run down of my thoughts on each item in my product empties box with a mini review of each!.
I like to use a leave in conditioner on my hair before applying my styling product. This one was fine. It was not too heavy or greasy. It did not have too much of a scent. I love the Deva Curl shampoo and conditioner that I use but I have to say that this leave-in is nothing special. It does the job but I wasn’t blown away by it and I don’t feel the need to repurchase.
I’ve already waxed lyrical about The Ordinary’s Hyaluronic Acid a couple of times so I’m not going to go into a great amount of detail. This stuff is awesome. So, so good! I’ve already repurchased and, since it’s only going to cost you a few bucks, you should too! I’m pretty sure there will always be one of these puppies knocking around in my empties box.
This was all over YouTube and the blogosphere a few months ago and I was desperate to try it. Desperate kittens. I held out though and, sure enough, Sephora started offering samples of the stuff so I grabbed it with another order. It’s nice. It’s a good day time moisturizer. It’s a gel cream texture that sinks quickly into the skin. It’s unscented. I can’t comment on whether it hydrates for 72 hours because I’ve never gone that long without washing my face. If you’re looking for a day time moisturizer that won’t irritate your skin this one is a safe bet. I’m not going to repurchase but mainly because I have boxes and bags and drawers (ugh) of skin care products to use up.
Benefit Cream Eyeshadow in No Pressure!
This little cream shadow was rattling around in the back of a drawer. I used it the other day, and while it’s clearly not empty, it is pretty much completely dried out. The colour payoff was great though and, even without a primer, the shadow did not budge from my lids all day. I was impressed. After a quick search online it looks like they don’t make this shadow any more unfortunately but if you want I can provide you with some alternatives. Let me know in the comments!
YouTube made me buy this. All the gurus had one and I wanted it to. It is a gorgeous highlighter. Unfortunately, as you can see in the photo above, I dropped mine and smashed it. I tried to fix it with rubbing alcohol and it just didn’t really work. Sigh. I wouldn’t repurchase this because, from what I’ve read, they smash easily.
This lip mask was given to me by a friend and it was great! I enjoyed using it and helped my super dry lips. They were much smoother and less sore the next morning. As soon as I can hunt them down online I will be buying more!
I’ve talked a bit about this scrub for oily scalp over on Instagram. It’s a fantastic clarifying shampoo. The texture is a bit weird at first, it has thick chunks of sea salt in it. They dissolve as you work the shampoo into your hair though. It rinses out completely and leaves the hair feeling squeaky clean but not stripped. I use it once a week and am able to go an extra day between washes when I do. There is already a new tub sitting in my shower caddy.Phew! That was a lot of typing! So there you have it – all my empties from the last few months. What’s on your product empties list?
