Hello there! It seems like it’s been quite a while since we’ve seen a regular beauty related post here on Poutine and Prada! Welcome to my Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream review!
Dry Skin
I’ve mentioned this product once or twice on my Instagram account but it deserves a full post because it’s a game changer. A year or two ago I started noticing changes in my skin, in particular dry patches popping up on my face. It was something I’d never really had to deal with before. I tried a number of different night creams and sleep masks. I exfoliated. I even tried vaseline. Nothing really helped until I tried the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant Nighttime Miracle Moisturizer on a whim. It was a good whim.
Eight Hour Cream review
This is a seriously thick night cream. It’s similar to the original Eight Hour Cream. You only need the tiniest amount so the $50 price tag is a little less daunting. It’ll last you ages. You warm up a small amount of the cream with your fingers and then smooth it all over your face. It takes a bit of elbow grease to work in to the skin but it does sink in.I’ve been using mine for about three months now and, as per the above photo, I’ve barely made a dent in it.The scent is supposedly lavender, but to be honest I don’t think that’s what it smells like. I actually find the scent a bit unpleasant but it does not linger once you’ve applied it to the face. I also use it as a nighttime lip mask and it works well for that too. You’ll wake up in the morning with significantly reduced dry patches, and they will clear up completely after a week or so of consistent use. What’s your nighttime ride or die?

I’ve never tried this but I love the regular 8 hour cream. I have really dry skin so I’ll have to try this x

Yes! It lasts ages!
I always hear such good things about Elizabeth Arden, clearly they’re justified 🙂 My night time go to is Origins Drink Up – it smells of apricot and it’s gorgeous!
