Volition Beauty Turmeric Brightening Polish Review Poutine and Prada

Volition Beauty

Volition Beauty is a new to me brand, but one that I am quickly becoming more interested in. I’ve only tried one of their products so far but it is good. Really good. Welcome to my first Volition Beauty review!

From the Volition Beauty website:

At Volition, our mission is collaborative and transparent innovation. We believe that new beauty products should be created by real people with real beauty problems (aka people like you).

Necessity is, after all, the mother of invention.

Together, the Volition community (yes, that includes you) creates the “next big things” in beauty.

Pretty cool right? They also use clean ingredients and are cruelty free.

Volition Beauty Turmeric Brightening Polish

I got a generous sample size of the Volition Beauty Turmeric Brightening Polish in the Sephora Favorites Scouted by Sephora Kit that I purchased last winter. Turmeric is supposed to brighten, and help with the signs of aging. The physical exfoliant in the product is crushed walnut shells.

How to use

I’ve used a lot of different exfoliating products over the years and I think that exfoliation is a key part of a good skincare routine. This one is exceptional. I use it two to three times a week in the shower. I use a walnut sized amount of the product, massage it all over my face, avoiding the eye area, and then leave it for a minute before rinsing it off. It takes care of any dry patches (I tend to wake up with dry skin around my lips and on my chin) and leaves the skin feeling smooth and not irritated. This scrub can also be used on the body, however, I have only used it on my face so far.

On my wish list

I’ve got my eye on a few of Volition’s other products, including the Strawberry-C Brightening Serum and the Oil-Control Mattifying Mist.

The brightening serum is supposed to provide hydration and improve dullness and uneven texture. The mist purportedly absorbs oil and mattifies the skin. Even though my skin is becoming drier as I age, it is still very oily. The struggle is real kittens.

Thanks for reading my review! Have you tried any of Volition Beauty’s products?

  1. I’ve never heard of Volition (love the name!) before but their scrub sounds pretty good. I really like the fact they use walnut instead of those micro plastics which are making their way into fish and destroying wildlife(!). I have dry patches on my face as well, and I probably need to invest in a good scrub like this.

Great review Sarah! I’ll keep an eye out for this brand!

    1. Thank you Trace! I, too, love that they are using a natural exfoliant rather than plastic:)

  2. This sounds like an amazing brand. My skin is really up and down, and so it likes different types of products at different times! I’m definitely going to keep an eye out for this brand! It’s great how they seem to be eco friendly and use natural products in their scrub. And I love how they seem to listen to their audience and create products that cater to all of us! This brand is on my Wishlist now!
