I enjoy putting gift guides together, and I enjoy reading other bloggers’ gift guides. However, I am aware that there is some controversy surrounding them. With that in mind, I decided to put together a green holiday gift guide including experiences, sustainable fashion, sustainable beauty items, and a few other bits. I hope you find this useful! Let’s dive in, shall we?
Green Holiday Gift Guide: Fashion
Everlane
My favourite sustainable brand is Everlane. You can check out my reviews here, here, and here!
Everlane’s ReCashmere pieces are made from 60% recycled cashmere. They are gorgeous, reasonably priced, and make such a luxurious gift. With options for him and for her you can’t go wrong.
If you can’t decide what to get a gift certificate is always a good idea.
Tradlands
Another sustainable brand I love is Tradlands. You can read my review of one of their pieces here. Tradlands flannel shirts are lovely and cozy. Tradlands also have adorable bandannas and I love this tote.
Smash + Tess
For lounge wear you can’t beat a Smash + Tess Romper. Smash + Tess is a Canadian brand and their rompers are made of a sustainable rayon fabric and created in Canada. I have the Sweetheart Romper and I adore it. I also bought one for my mom last year and she loves it too!
Green Holiday Gift Guide: For the Home
Plants
Houseplants make a lovely gift. I was given a houseplant as a leaving present at my previous job and I absolutely love it!
Edible Jars
I spotted this gift idea on Sara’s blog and I absolutely love it! You could combine all the dry ingredients for cookies in mason jar for a lovely homemade gift. You could also fill a jar with salty snacks, homemade chocolates, etc. The ideas are endless!
Magazine Subscription
Another great gift is an online magazine subscription. I personally love National Geographic, but there are online magazines available for all kinds of interests.
Green Holiday Gift Guide: Experiences
Experiences are another lovely sustainable gift idea. Dinner out at a nice restaurant, a massage, a manicure, tickets to a show, a pass for a museum or art gallery visit, the options are endless!
Green Holiday Gift Guide: Beauty
Lush
I’ve been a fan of Lush for years. Their bath-bombs are my favourite but they make skincare, hair care and body care products as well. Their naked products are packaging free. Lush products are also vegan and cruelty free.
Lovefresh
Lovefresh cosmetics are made in Canada and made with clean ingredients. They also offer refills once you’ve run out of your product.
I hope there’s something for everyone on this list! Are there any great sustainable gifts ideas I’ve missed? I’d love to see your suggestions in the comments! Thanks so much for checking out my green holiday gift guide!

Wonderful suggestions for gift ideas. I usually give plants, cookies, cakes or snacks as a present. I hate to receive presents that will never be used.
