Jewels for Every Day

Some of my time over the past few years has been dedicated to attempting (heavy emphasis on attempting) to streamline my wardrobe and hone in on my personal style. That has included building a small collection of timeless and quality pieces of everyday jewelry that I love to wear.

My preference is for gold and sometimes rose gold jewelry, because it suits my skin tone better than silver. However, the brands I’m going to be talking about create pieces in silver as well.

If you are looking to expand your own everyday jewelry collection, treat yourself or gift a special someone I recommend taking a look at the sites below.

Everyday Jewelry

Mejuri creates fine jewelry at affordable prices. They are able to do this by selling directly to consumers and avoiding traditional markups. I have two pairs of earrings and a ring by Mejuri. Both sets of earring are small, gold hoops. One set is just plain hoops and the second has small star charms. They go with everything and are perfect for the office. My ring is the Capricorn Zodiac Ring. I love it but it does get scratched quite easily (wear pictured in the photo above). I think that’s because it has such a large surface area.

Monica Vinader

Monica Vinader is a UK based designer. You can shop her pieces in Canada at Nordstrom and online. I have a gorgeous statement ring with pink quartz and it is one of my favourite pieces. Everytime I wear the ring I have to resist the urge to lick it. Monica Vinader is more of a splurge, but well worth it.

Sarah Mulder

Sarah Mulder is my favourite Canadian jewelry designer. She is based in Vancouver and designs “Jewelry for City Dwellers with Bohemian Hearts”. I first discovered her stuff a few years ago during a weekend away in Atlin. Mr. P&P treated me to a gorgeous necklace we found in a shop there and I wore it daily. I was lucky enough to receive another of her necklaces, the Stargazer Necklace, from Mr. P&P for Christmas this year and it is my new fave.

Keltie Leanne

I have three necklaces from Keltie Leanne. I first discovered this Canadian designer when I won a gift card and used it to purchase two necklaces. The Shine Necklace is one that I wear nearly every day and I love to layer it with other gold pieces. I have since purchased a third from this brand. Highly recommend.

I love Etsy for a lot of things, gifts in particular, but it is a great place to find one of a kind, handmade, affordable jewelry. I like to wear several rings at once and I found three delicate gold stacking rings on Etsy for about $25 each. I’ve had them for several years and they are still going strong.

So there you have it! What are your go to jewelry brands?

  1. I really like the jewellery that you’ve shown on here – I love those gold earrings!
Most of the jewellery I’ve bought myself are from overseas – places where that jewellery is one of their traditionally made pieces, and I love finding handmade pieces. I bought a gorgeous button bracelet in Italy a couple of years ago, it is really pretty. Otherwise, I do like the classic pieces from Karen Walker and 5th Avenue.

    1. Thank you! There is something so special about pieces collected during travels. I have a ring I bought in Greece that is very special to me:)
