Once again, I’ve finished up a bunch of products, including some makeup which is a bit unusual, so get ready for a run down of my thoughts and a mini review of each product. Let’s jump in to my second empty products review!

Poutine and Prada Nest Fragrances Indigo

Empty products review: Indigo – Nest Fragrances

First up in this empty products review post is a perfume, which is pretty rare for me. Perfume tends to last ages! I picked up Indigo by Nest a few years ago and I adore it. It is one of my signatures scents and reminds me of a big bowl of freshly picked raspberries. It’s slightly sweet but there are definitely green notes in it as well.

From the Sephora website:

Moroccan tea, Kashmir wood, and black cardamom are enhanced with hints of wild fig and bergamot. These notes combine to create a captivating fragrance that transitions well from day to evening.

Would I buy it again? Most definitely, in fact I already have a fresh bottle! Actually, therein lies a funny story. Mr. P&P was in Toronto last year and popped into Sephora to pick up a little treat for yours truly. He sniffed several perfumes until he stumbled upon this one. He loved it and picked up a bottle. When he gave it to me I started laughing, because of the hundreds of perfumes that Sephora carries he’d managed to pick one of my favourites that I’ve been wearing for years! That’s a man who pays attention!

Empty product review Sunday Riley Good Genes

Sunday Riley Good Genes

I raved about this product in this post. It’s seriously good. The only thing that’s stopping me from buying it again is the price tag. Le sigh. For the two months or so that I used it my skin was glowing, smooth, and redness and blemish free. Of all my product empties this one is the one I was the saddest about finishing up.

Empty product review First Aid Beauty Coconut Water Cream

Empty products review: First Aid Beauty Hello Fab Coconut Water Cream

I went through a bunch of travel sized containers of the First Aid Beauty Hello Fab Coconut Water Cream before buying the full size tub. I love this cream for a few different reasons. The first is that it is one of the most effective of the day creams I’ve tried at helping to control oil. This cream keeps my skin matte for at least a few hours which, for me, is huge. The second thing I like about it is the texture. It’s a light gel formula that absorbs into the skin at lightening speed. It feels cooling when applied. I love using this in the summer, though in winter I reach for something a bit heavier. I would absolutely buy again and make sure to grab a travel size whenever I can.

Empty product review The Ordinary Coverage Foundation

The Ordinary Coverage Foundation

I’ve raved about The Ordinary so much. This foundation is no exception. It’s affordable, can be built up depending on how much coverage you want, and it’s not heavy or cakey. It’s one of the few foundations that lasts all day on my oil slick skin. I’ve already got another bottle going strong in my makeup bag.

Empty product review L'Oreal Lip Paint

L’Oreal Infallible Lip Paint

I bought this a while ago in hopes that it would be a good replacement for a pretty nude gloss I’d finished off. The colour, 314 Spicy Blush, and texture was fine but I was really put off by the scent of this product. It’s a bit like paint. It’s not finished but I’m getting rid of it because I just can’t enjoy using a product that smells so bad. I will not be buying this again.

Poutine and Prada Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

I think these are discontinued now which is a real shame. Revlon’s Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains were all over the beauty community several years ago and with good reason. These balms are pigmented and long lasting. They are very comfortable on the lips and have a light minty scent. I had three shades: Honey, a great every day nude, Lovesick, a shocking fuschia, and Smitten, a deep berry shade. I reached for all three shades pretty regularly, though Honey got the most use, and would definitely buy these again if they were still available.

So there you have it, my empty products review of the things I’ve finished over the last few months. Let me know in the comments what you’ve finished up lately – I’d love to know!

  1. I’d love to try that Sunday Riley serum too, but the price tag gets me too! Definitely a splurge item. I’ve been wanting to try that Ordinary foundation too, just trying to finish all my old ones first! And that Nest fragrance bottle is just gorgeous!

  2. I love the sound of the coconut water cream product! I have never heard of it before but think it is something I would love.

  3. I always enjoy reading your beauty product round up post because I discover new products to try. I follow a model named Imaan Hammam and she models for Revlon and the lippies look so pretty in her. After reading your recommendation, I’m going to try one of their lip stains! I’m excited
