Aurum Skincare, is a brand created in my very own home town, Dawson City. For a long time I’d followed them on Instagram and I’d been meaning to purchase a bottle of their Calming Birch Serum for ages. It was delightful when the lovely Joanne reached out and asked if I’d like to try it out. The serum arrived a few days later and I started using it right away. That was three weeks ago and I finally feel ready to talk you through my thoughts on it.Read more
When I was living in Vancouver around 2010 (eons ago now), I painted my nails once or twice or a week. It always made me feel just that little bit more put together. Since returning home to Yukon polishing my nails is one of the many grooming rituals, along with threading my brows and waxing various body parts, that’s fallen to the wayside. I’ve been using Poshmark for over a year now with a fair bit of success. I’m a Poshmark Ambassador, I have 16.9k followers, and I’ve earned over $1000. Not bad! I’ve picked up a few Poshmark selling tips and tricks along the way and today I’m going to share them with you!
First things first, if you’re new to Poshmark, be sure to use my invite code “poutineandprada” when you sign up to earn a $15 credit towards your first purchase. I get a $15 credit as well, which is always very much appreciated!

Vanessa Ægirsdóttir: Beautiful Fur Jewelry
Vanessa Ægirsdóttir opened the doors of her Whitehorse shop in 2018. I noticed her beautifully crafted fur jewelry a year or so later when we followed each other on Instagram. My husband and I received a few of her pieces as wedding gifts and I was instantly smitten. Vanessa creates beautiful jewelry using Yukon furs and copper and silver.
“It is important that I use furs that are sourced from Indigenous traplines in the Yukon so that you can be assured that every fur is traceable and ethically harvested.”
